TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
WordPress Caching Setup and CDN Integration

1. General Information
    Project: WordPress Website Performance Optimization
Objective: Reduce website response time by implementing caching and offloading images to a CDN.
    Executor: Developer/DevOps Engineer

2. Tasks
2.1. WordPress Caching Configuration
Objective: Accelerate page loading and reduce server load.
   Requirements:
      Caching Plugin Selection:
Install and configure a caching plugin (e.g., WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, or LiteSpeed Cache).
If the hosting supports LiteSpeed, prefer LiteSpeed Cache.
      Cache Settings:
        Enable page caching.
Configure caching for guest users and authenticated users (if required).
        Set cache lifetime:
          Homepage: 4 hours.
          Posts/pages: 6 hours.
          Archives and categories: 8 hours.
      File Optimization:
Enable minification of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Combine CSS and JS files (if it doesn’t cause website functionality issues).
        Configure lazy loading for images.
      Browser Caching:
Configure Cache-Control headers for static files (CSS, JS, images) for at least 6 months.
      Cache Clearing:
Configure automatic cache clearing when content is updated (posts, pages).
Implement WebP image delivery for supported browsers.
      CDN Caching:
Set TTL for images in the CDN to at least 1 year.
Ensure Cache-Control headers are correctly passed from the CDN.
      Testing:
Verify that all images are loaded via the CDN (e.g., using browser developer tools).
Test image loading speed before and after CDN setup.

3. Acceptance Criteria
Homepage load time reduced by at least 40% (according to GTmetrix/PageSpeed data).
    Page caching works correctly:
Guest users receive a cached version.
No errors in dynamic elements (shopping cart, forms).
All static files (images, CSS, JS) are served via the CDN.
Images are optimized (compressed, converted to WebP where applicable).
Correct caching headers are configured for static files.

4. Additional Requirements
    Documentation:
Provide a description of the implemented configurations.
Create an administrator guide for managing cache.
    Security:
Configurations must not interfere with secure website sections (admin panel, payment forms).
    Backup:
Create a full website backup (database + files) before making changes.
